Easy to book a table. Easy going staff. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly at the bar area. Slightly pricey for the quality and presentation. Food was tasty enough 7/10, which is not bad for local pub food. Large portions. Overall very pleasant experience.

We found this by looking on google as being near to where we are staying and it did not disappoint. Beautiful pub - both inside and out and the food second to none. Both my husband and I had a pie - I had Steak and Ale - the meat was melt in the mouth and filled to the brim - the special Chicken,Bacon and Leek equally delicious. Portion size is large and seeing the other diners who partook of the grill come with a hearty appetite. Staff were lovely and accomodating - would thoroughly recommend. Enjoy x.

Great food and service, building very old but kept very clean and good decor. Been a couple of times and still the same standards. The only down side for us was that I don't enjoy eating my food with other people's dogs,well behaved or not they still moult hair into the air. For that reason I have them 4stars for atmosphere and not 5.

Great venue with lovely ‘local pub’ atmosphere. Don’t visit every day or week but are regular customers. Never had a poor meal yet.

Amazing food- served hot and fresh, portion sizes are huge, great value for money. Definitely will be returning everytime we are visiting the East Coast. Thank you for the brilliant service, all staff were polite and extremely welcoming.

After hearing some great feedback, we decided to try Ye Olde Forge Inn for ourselves. We went for Sunday lunch & thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll be back again very soon & will definitely be recommending this to our friends, family & customers.
